Betsie Larkin & Solarstone - Breathe You In

@blackholerec - Premier 1439-0 / Purchase

promo packshot2013 already turned out to be one of Betsie's busiest years so far. What started in 2008 with the instant hit “Made of Love” with Ferry Corsten, has flourished into a dream-like calling that led to assignments with an impressive list of producers like ATB, Andy Moor, Gabriel & Dresden and many others. The release of Betsie's debut album "All We Have Is Now" turned out to be the next milestone in here career. Featuring outstanding collaborations with industry heavyweights like Rafael Frost, John O'Callaghan, Bjorn Akesson and Giuseppe Ottaviani, Betsie so far released the singles “Obvious” with Lange, "The Offering" with Sied van Riel and the albums title track, which she recorded with Super8 & Tab. Despite her packed touring schedule, Betsie still managed to record the singles "No Substitute For You" with Russian deck-master Bobina, "Not Coming Down" with Ferry Corsten and "Play It Back" with Gabriel & Dresden. On her brand new single "Breathe You In" Betsie teams up with Solarstone.

Solarstone blazed a trail through the emergent days of trance, making name with hits like "Green Light" (1995), "The Calling" (1997) and "The Impressions EP" (1998). As the first trance wave peaked in ‘99 Solarstone left an unforgettable mark on the scene with the Top 40 hit "Seven Cities". Over the following 6 years Solarstone released seminal tracks like "Solarcoaster" (2003), "Speak in Sympathy" (2004), "Eastern Sea" (2005) and "Like A Waterfall" (2006). In May 2008 he put out the album "RainStarsEternal", featuring singles like "4ever" and "Late Summer Fields". Two years later Solarstone struck a blow for the music with which he’d made his name. The acclaimed "Pure" album was a roots-return, and delivered the singles "The Spell", "Fireisland" (with Aly & Fila), its title track and "Falcons" (with Giuseppe Ottaviani). Followed by the double disc mix compilation "Pure Trance", Solarstone brought his ethics to world with Orkidea.

Reworked into a genuine Solarstone trance endeavor, “Breathe You In” received the master’s signature with a new arrangement that offers a new look on the album version. Kicking the original up a notch is Sneijder, who completes Betsie’s vocals with his unique sound.

Andy Leka - Tonik

@blackholerec - Avanti 515-0

Andy Leka's recent step to expand his DJ career with the production of his own material led to his debut single for Avanti, titled "Otter". The Rimini based producer now introduces the brand new follow up "Tonik".

promo packshotAndy Leka established quite a name in the circle of DJs in Rimini, Italy and Switzerland in his early years. As a resident of Rimini’s known Life Club, where he’s been working since 2003 he has always been known for the big parties. In the off-season of Rimini, DJ Andy Leka DJs at festivals all over Italy and other countries like Switzerland, The Netherlands and Germany. In 2009 Andy became resident DJ of Saint Trop Club in Thun, Switzerland. "Tonik" is a scorching electro track that is not for the faint hearted. Giving new rise to the notion that a blend of existing styles may well lead to new ones, it should be noted that Andy Leka's new track is a true powerhouse production. Serving a main course of hard, pumping bass kicks and stop-and-go synths, "Tonik" wreaks havoc with galloping stabs and distorted sweeps - a broiling cut for the well experienced party people.

Steve Sanders - Anthem EP

@blackholerec - In Trance We Trust 593-0

Steve Sanders is the alter ego of Steven Devanthéry, also known as DJ Majesty, born in in 1980 and living in Switzerland. As a DJ/producer he began his career in 1997 and quickly became a major player in the trance scene. Initially DJing as resident in clubs like Sphinx, Mirabilis, on Rhône FM radio and in Unit Club he soon seized the opportunity to play in other countries. In 2010 he started producing actively and soon released tracks on labels like Phoenix Recordings, Joyride Music and Sirup Music. He now presents his first release for the In Trance We Trust imprint.

Steve’s “Anthem EP” reveals the musical output of a producer who knows his history when it comes to powerful, rave-ready trance, worthy for such a known imprint as In Trance We Trust. Both “Anthem” and “Master Of Trance” showcase massive compositions, perfectly tailored for Steve’s synth and string arrangements that bring back memories of the legendary Tiësto in Concert stadium performances. Subtly adding state of the art audio details like dubstep beats in his breaks, Steve more or less introduces an updated version of trance for the main rooms. Play “Anthem” and “Master Of Trance” when your behind the decks and they’ll live up to the expectations of their titles.

Max Roelse & Two Killers ft Ange - Heart Breaking

@blackholerec - Songbird 337-0

Presenting their second single are Max Roelse and Two Killers, entering the stage with the vocal trance gem "Heart Breaking", featuring lyrics sung by Ange. The follow up to their previous title, "Get Me Right", as released on Black Hole, also features on Richard Durand's In Search of Sunrise 11: Las Vegas mix compilation.

The act Two Killers is in fact a collaboration between Max Roelse (Maksim Podushchenko from Crimea, Ukraine) and the elusive Pruchkovsky. Always aiming for DJ sets based on continuous communication with the audience, the two have so far played Berlin and the U.K., entertained thousands on the Crimean peninsula and appeared in the line-ups of Technosfera and My Name Is Techno. Their previous release "Get Me Right" already revealed a lot of their ISOS inspired sound, a given that was aptly confirmed when Richard Durand secured their single "Heart Breaking" for his seminal In Search of Sunrise 11: Las Vegas mix compilation.

Ange is a vocalist, producer and DJ from Russia. Her career started in 2001 and in 2008 she picked up the the DJ headphones and started spinning live next to her vocal assignments. She devotes herself to tech and minimal style music as a DJ, but as a volalist she prefers progressive. Her tracks featured on compilations by Tiësto, Alex Young, Markus Schulz, Matt Darey, Miss Nine, Ahmet Sendil, DJ Shah and many others.

“Heart Breaking” has the true finesse of an ISOS-worthy vocal trance production. Subtly leaning towards progressive, the producers build their fragile soundscape around Ange’s touching vocals. Moog sweeps add a siren like effect, which gives the track a deeper, dramatic twist, explaining exactly why Durand picked this one for his release. For the non-vocal live sets the single release also features an instrumental version.

Alex O'rion - Don't Look Back

@blackholerec - Magik Muzik 1054-0

Preceded by the energetic singles "The Friendly Giant", "Tornado" and "Sunchaser", "Don't Look Back" is Alex O'Rion's latest studio production set to propel Alex's name skywards.

The past year saw Alex O'Rion steadily working on release after release, seizing every opportunity to stockpile hit on top of hit. The A&R manager of the Terminal 4 imprint could easily be working on a new artist album, but so far that assumption is based on rumors. Still his singles "Letters From Jupiter", "Blueprint", "Satellite" and the later on released debut album "The Bigger Room" have proven that O'Rion has the skills to come up with a new long-player sooner rather than later. Dropping epic remixes for Ferry Corsten, Cosmic Gate and Arnej in the meantime, Alex even found the time for a remix of the Richard Durand and Pedro Del Mar track "Paint The Sky" before he finished "Don't Look Back".

Burning up the room with the a driving synth theme on the 16th notes, Alex O'Rion gives a new definition of trance on the tech tip. With references to his earlier output, "Don't Look Back" breathes an exciting bit of fresh air through today's trends of string programming. Focusing strongly on the exchanges with the beats, "Don't Look Back" pumps hard, arches into an artfully interplayed break and signs off with a sky scraping climax that'll be applauded by every DJ's audience.

Save The Robot - Ready 4 Love

@blackholerec - Magik Muzik 1055-0

Save The Robot, in the early days an act of two producers, built a solid reputation in the world of EDM with well received singles like “Red City”, “Compassion”, “Big Ben” and countless remixes for other artists. With so many superb releases in such a short time, Save The Robot became a name that tickled the curiosity of many of the big names in the industry. In 2012 Ido, the actual mastermind of Save The Robot, stepped away from his moniker for a while to be a 100% solo producer altogether and entered the scene with two EPs, featuring the titles "Voice Of Reason", "Soul Surf", "Bigger Than Ben" and "Fully Charged". In 2013 Ido revived his Save The Robot act and released the hit single "Kai Zen".

With "Ready 4 Love", producer Ido returns to the essence of the Save The Robot sound and offers a crisp vocal trance trip, expanding the arrangement with electro house influenced sweeps. With plenty of room for an extensive break, Save The Robot pushes the vocals to the forefront, lifting "Ready 4 Love" to a terrific climax.

Giuseppe Ottaviani & Ferry Corsten - Magenta

Over the last month ‘Love Will Bring It All Around’ - the curtain raiser for Giuseppe’s extraordinary second artist album - has been generating all the right types of floor-reaction. With barely a pause for breath, the virtuoso trance producer has ‘Love’s follow-up primed to join the fray. Certain to delight co-production fans, the album’s title track sees Giuseppe joined behind the mixing desk for the first time by none other than superstar titan Ferry Corsten.

On a track that MIXMAG’ has already labelled “euphoria on tap” (and scored 8/10 in their July issue review), the pair’s Original Mix of ‘Magenta’ sets its sights Everest-high… and doesn’t stop climbing till the top of the drop! Galvanized by Giuseppe’s highly charged drums, full-thrust bass and ceaselessly infectious intro-melodies, the track melts into its luminous plucked string mainline. Raising the tension yet further still, Corsten’s hand applies characteristic FX squelch and electro-ish aftertouch, which post-break send ‘Magenta’ full-flight.

Remixes (from Heatbeat and Greg Downey) are also on fast approach, so take this summer-ready smash and use it to wreak havoc on your nearest club floor!

Julie Thompson & Super8 & Tab - Your Secret's Safe

@blackholerec - Magik Muzik 1049-0

Her previous single “Skin & Bones”, recorded with Andy Duguid is still on the rise in the charts and already Julie Thompson presents her latest track “Your Secret’s Safe”, produced by trance lords Super8 & Tab.

Working with big names like Jonas Steur, Signum, Andy Duguid, Ignas, Dinka, Signalrunners and also Super8 & Tab she became one of the most requested female vocalists in electronic dance. Julie’s most notable achievements up to this day are the ones she did in collaboration with Tiësto. Tracks produced by the superstar DJ like “Somewhere Inside Of Me” and “Do You Feel Me” have all reached the classic status while in the meantime she joined Tiësto for his Elements Of Life world tour. Later she would appear again on In Search Of Sunrise 6: Ibiza and In Search Of Sunrise 9: India by Richard Durand, on which she featured with the single “Diamonds In The Sky”. In 2009 Julie released her long anticipated solo album “Feeling For Corners”, which harvested the singles “It Only Hurts”, “What Will I Do” and Shine. Julie's most recent release was "Skin & Bones" which she recorded with Andy Duguid.

Super8 & Tab released their debut artist album “Empire” in 2010 and “Empire: Remixed” in 2011. In 2012, Super8 & Tab added even more classics to their arsenal of floor filling tracks with three chart topping mixes of "Black Is Back", which features the vocals of former Gabriel & Dresden collaborator Jan Burton and "Awakenings". They played massive events such as Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, Tomorrowland in Belgium, Global Gathering, ASOT 550 Den Bosch and numerous club gigs in Ibiza, Canada, the UK, and their home country of Finland. Super8 & Tab previously worked with Betsie Larkin for her debut album "All We Have Is Now".

Super8 & Tab's trademark sound that combines deep synth compositions and futuristic trance fusions with a tech and hint works perfectly with Julie Thompson’s vocal workout. “Your Secret’s Safe” is a definite vocal trance gem and features such powerful string programming, that you simply can’t sit still. The big names to play this one in their live set are already lining up; “You’re Secret’s Safe” is just one of those must haves for every DJ.

Jesse Voorn is one of the rising stars from the Netherlands active in house and progressive. For "Rock The Night" Jesse Voorn and Strobe roll out the big guns with an immense tech / electro production. Like a hurricane the two create a reinforced swirl of staccato synth stabs on top of relentless banging kicks, adding the techno feel to the entire track. "Rock The Night" and that's exactly what this banger will do.

Kim Fai & Dom Kane - Moon

@blackholerec - Magik Muzik 1052-0

Joining forces with Dom Kane for his brand new single, Kim Fai presents the follow up to his debut single "The Eagle Has Landed", this time sweeping the floor with "Moon".

Born in the “Midlands” of the U.K., Kim Fai started DJing at age 15. Initially studying music at a local college, it wasn’t until he began college in Birmingham that he found like-minded people to share his passion. He eventually hit the studio with Funkagenda. His big break came after doing his 'Kissing in Krakow' album with Toolroom in 2009. Steve Angelo got in touch and gave him a deal for his Size Record label, where Kim continued to work for the next few years. In the meantime Kim featured on Creamfields, Global Gathering, L.E.D, Love Parade, Tomorrowland and was invited by Tiësto to perform at his arena at Mysterylands Amsterdam. Kim had sold out gigs at Pacha with the Swedish House Mafia and supported Deadmau5 for his U.S. and U.K. tours, as well as Kim’s own U.S. gigs along the East and West Coasts. He remixed Chase & Status, Jason Derulo, Penguin Prison, Lady Gaga and The Prodigy. One of Kim Fai's recent appearances on the Black Hole imprint was the remix he made for "Another Late Night" by Sydney Blu featuring MC Flipside, followed by his debut single “The Eagle Has Landed”. This time he hits the dance floors with "Moon".

Dom Kane is a well known DJ/producer and engineer and appears in most electronic recording studios across the globe, having delivered work for Loopmasters, FXpansion, Deadmau5 and Steve Duda, Ohm Force, and even factory content for the legendary analogue synth company Moog. Dom also released a tech house package and eventually created his own brand “Quantum Loops” to be exclusively distributed through Loopmasters. Dom Kane's sound has been described as tech-infused progressive house, downright nasty electro, tech house and pumped-up robo-funk, so you know what to expect when he's DJing live.

"Moon" continues where "The Eagle Has Landed" took off and carves out a hard, merciless dance floor banger with some seriously pumping electro house beats and synth programming. Blending the arrangement with subtle tech trance hints, Kim Fai and Dom Kane give full room to the bass drum that gives "Moon" that climax sound to take any DJ set to a higher level.

Tiësto - Adagio For Strings (Blasterjaxx Remix)

@blackholerec / @TiestoMagik - Magik Muzik 1048-0

Tiësto’s long lasting anthem “Adagio For Strings” enters a new era and receives a serious remix treatment from Blasterjaxx.

Thom Jongkind (22) and Idir Makhlaf (21) are the real names behind the DJ/producer duo Blasterjaxx. Thom Jongkind initially set up the Blasterjaxx duo in a different constellation, but when interests went in a different direction, Thom turned to a new right hand man: Idir Makhlaf. A new Blasterjaxx duo was born, ready to take over the world with their unique sound, which is best described as a crossover between electro-house, big room and latin. Their output soon appeared on ruling labels like Defected Records, Universal, Dirty Dutch and G-Rex. Support by big names like Sidney Samson, Gregor Salto, Franky Rizardo, Vato Gonzalez and many others followed. Together with D-Rashid they produced the Reborn EP with the smashes "Reborn" and "Where We Go". Laidback Luke was eager to sign the tracks at his own Mixmash label. One of the highlights in their relatively young career came in early 2013 when they delivered "Loud & Proud" together with Billy The Kit. Eventually Tiësto approached the guys personally to sign the track at his own record label Musical Freedom and invited Blasterjaxx to perform at his Musical Freedom Party in Nikki Beach, Miami. Presenting their brand new killer remix of Tiësto's famous "Adagio For Strings", Blasterjaxx's name may well explode to the forefront of electronic music with a bang.

Indeed opening Pandora’s box with a powerful blend of electro house, big room elements and an undeniable maximal house flavor, Blasterjaxx prepares Tiësto’s “Adagio For Strings” for the next generation. Blasterjaxx’s arrangement lays a rock solid foundation for Samuel Barber’s original theme, now programmed with swirling synth sweeps, culminating into an immense break that will move the crowds worldwide. A Blasterjaxx hit mix.

Jess&Miss - High Heels

@blackholerec - Avanti 513-0

Jess&Miss successfully introduced themselves on the scene with their 2012 house single "Twenty 4 Seven". Returning with a brand new electro house cut, this time for the Avanti imprint, the ladies present "High Heels".

The Amsterdam based female duo Jess&Miss, professionally known as Jessy Freyee and Miss El Niño, have built quite a reputation in the past three years. Mainly focusing on their live sets full of tech house mixed with groovy and funky house, the two now make the logical step to music production. Their debut release for the Wildlife imprint, the single "Twenty 4 Seven" embodied the style the ladies are known for when they're behind the decks; described in their biography as "the sound of two female DJs, who give you twice the energy and bring you the ultimate love for house music, times two."

"High Heels", a techno tinged electro house cut, aims straight for the dance floor. The tight drum programming, supported by a massive and seriously funky bass line give the track a powerful drive, making it perfect for peak time mix transitions. A certain, allover sexy sound makes "High Heels" a superb single for hot and intimate club sessions.

Re-Zone & Twin Scream - Nemesis

@blackholerec - Black Hole 555-0

Introducing a new name on the scene is Re-Zone, joining forces with Twin Scream for the brand new Black Hole release titled "Nemesis".

promo packshotRe-Zone, a.k.a. Yakov Morozov, has knocked out some immense hits in the past decade and his productions have been supported by some of the worlds most prominent DJs including Pete Tong, Carl Cox, Groove Armada, Roger Sanchez, Mark Knight, Axwell, Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, Danny Howells, Superchumbo, Bob Sinclar, Steve Lawer, Laurent Garnier, Hernan Cattaneo and many others. Re-Zone warmed up for big names like D.Ramirez and Carl Cox; his hits "Tribute to Mr.Toca" and "Revenge of a Bass Killer" reached No. 1 for 6 weeks, next to numerous Billboard Chart hits. He started his "Rezone Records" imprint in 2009 and currently his radio show "Rezonans" features on over 20 radio-stations throughout the world.

Twin Scream is the act behind twin brothers Ilya and Nikita Bocharov. They both graduated from the school for electronic musicians known as "Singomakers". They are known for their harmonious combination of styles, which covers house, progressive house and electro house. Their debut track was released on Rezone Records label and has received support from renowned DJs like Axwell, Thomas Penton, Re-Zone, Sonny Wharton, David Vendetta, Moussa Clarke, Sergio Matina, Hakan Hakan Ludvigson, Anton Neumark, Brian Brian 'Cheets' Cheetham, Erik Pettersson, Kid Massive, Flash Brothers, Futuristic Polar Bears and many more. They now team up with Re-Zone for their first release on Black Hole.

As many will know, the word "Nemesis" stands for an opponent that cannot be beaten or overcome, or a source of harm and ruin. In this case, however, we're dealing with a massive track that's perfect for the big rooms. The complex composition of the three producers combines a variety of styles, but focuses on the electro influenced version of harder tech trance. Synth stabs change positions with string laded breaks on top of a syncopating bass line, making "Nemesis" an excellent track for high energy outdoor sets.

For "Higher Than The Sun", JES teamed up with the legendary Roger Shah and Brian Laruso, creating a charismatic impetus to the song with her unequalled vocal performance.

Everyone who's been active in electronic dance music, both from the DJ and producer side, knows Brian Laruso as one half of Global Experience. It's the project that was formed by Roger Shah and Brian Laruso. Building their hit single reputation since 2005, the producers made name with titles like "Tennessee", "Dakar", "Zanzibar", "San Salvador", "Koengen" and "New Life". In the past seven years many of these titles received the support from big names all over the world and have by now reached the classic status. The two released their hit single "Fox & Koi last year and now appear under their own names for this new collab with JES.

Existone - In Search Of Light

@blackholerec - In Trance We Trust 589-0

With the success of his previous In Trance We Trust single "Electronic Sundown", Existone proved that his focus on the continuous development of his sound pays off. Returning the imprint after a short hiatus, Existone releases the brand new "In Search Of Light".

Existone, born on September 29th 1982 in Voronezh, Russia, released his first single "Deep Blue Sky" in 2006 and has become a household name in EDM ever since. Consistently putting out high quality singles like "The Chasm", "Obscure Rays", "Sunshower", "August Aromas" featuring Hayley Parsons, the "Tales EP" and "Electric Sundown", Existone saw his tracks receive the support of artists like Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Ferry Corsten, Aly & Fila and many others. The quality of his releases brought him remix assignments for Amex, Smart Apes, Kiholm, Setrise, Alex Kunnari and more. Sergey is also active as a DJ, but still focuses mainly on his studio output. "In Search of Light" is his latest brainchild and is now available on In Trance We Trust.

For "In Search Of Light", Existone not only works on an innovative approach of the symphonic elements of trance, be he also goes well beyond the commonly accepted boundaries. Dipping his composition in deep, movie style synth arrangements, Sergey introduces a lengthy, synth laden break pretty shortly after the intro. The symphonic feel of "In Search Of Light" is undeniably touching and combined with the dark voice used in the mixdown, it's an ultimate trance bomb for the nightly live events.

Tamra Keenan - Pontius Pilate

@blackholerec - Magik Muzik 1036-0

Tamra Keenan releases her first single on Magik Muzik. "Pontius Pilate" features high energy remixes by Loverush UK, La'Reda and Lence & Pluton.

Tamra Keenan's biography is as extensive as her career is long. Active since 2002, she first gained mainstream attention as part of break beats duo Beber & Tamra. Their first single "Travelling On" quickly became Single of the Week on Radio 1. More success followed with single "You Wonder" as the prelude to the duo’s debut album "Suite Beat Boy" - a collaborations with BT followed on "Love in a time of Thieves". Tamra went on to join electro band Future Funk Squad, writing Radio 1 featured singles "Demystified" and "Kissing Air" on their album "Audio Damage". Since then she's worked with David Morales on "Two World Collide" and "You Came" and with DJ Kaskade on "Angel on my Shoulder" and "Your Love is Back". Tamra has worked with more big names in dance music and has toured all over the world, playing sell-out shows in Hong Kong, Brazil, Las Vegas, Chicago, Miami, NYC and all across Europe. Brace yourself for Tamra Keenan's "Pontius Pilate".

"Pontius Pilate" could easily become a huge summer hit this season. Drawing an open and spacious image with her composition, we hear how all three remixers re-arrange the original in their own trademark style, with subtle hints of ISOS deep in the final mixdown. Definitely within the realm of vocal trance, it is the attractive combination of Tamra's vocals and the Balearic style synth programming that radiates from your speakers like a cool summer breeze.

Fictivision & C-Quence - Symbols

@blackholerec - In Trance We Trust 591-0

Fictivision's anthem "Symbols" enters the next generation with a brand spanking new overhaul by Will Atkinson.

Fictivision and C-Quence (also known as Bart van Wissen and Joris van der Straten) will probably always be remembered for their 2003 classic "Symbols". From the day of its release, the track took the world by storm and hovered at the top of the charts and track lists of all the big DJs for months on end; later on that same year Tiësto would add it to his legendary first Tiësto in Concert DVD. The strength of the composition written by Dutch masterminds Van Wissen and Van deer Straten, is the way they arranged it for synths and strings. Taking their time for a lengthy build up, the boys arpeggiate subtle pads before they finally unleash the powerful melody that defines "Symbols", while the word euphoric jumps to mind. So far the track has seen a remix by Mesh and Kimito Lopez.

Will Atkinson (22, Glasgow - U.K.) has been active in EDM since 2008, reaping the support of giants like Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, John O'Callaghan, Simon Patterson, Eddie Halliwell, Judge Jules, Sean Tyas, Kutski and countless others. His productions have been showcased through some of the world’s leading dance events: Creamfields, Trance Energy, Global Gathering and Judgement Sundays. Will also engineers for a vast amount of up and coming artists and is already responsible for a handful of number 1 hits on various digital download sites.

The Will Atkinson 5000 Remix kicks the BPM up a few notches and turns "Symbols" into a high powered tech trancer that reworks the original composition into a whole new arrangement. Once the build up of the track reaches its climax, Atkinson pulls out all stops and returns with the original theme of "Symbols", programmed with sharp synths that breathe the old skool rave feeling. Massive remake.
